 French Camp for Kids! Are you looking for summer language-learning opportunities for your child? Come to the Alliance Française 5th annual Summer Camp! Now at two locations. This one or two week, two hour a day camp allows your child to be exposed to French while having so much fun that it won't even feel like learning! Through games, songs and other interactive activities, your child will experience the Francophone world while making new friends and acquiring new concepts about the world through language... ($150 for one week session, $180 for two week session).
Industrial Evolution! Please join us at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park on Tuesday, June 3 from 6-9 pm where landscape architect and urban designer Marilyn Clemens will share slides and discuss "Industrial Evolution," the Parisian effort to incorporate gardens on former industrial sites into large urban design projects. Please call the Alliance Française for tickets: $5 for AF and UEC members/$10 for non-members. This event is co-sponsored by the Urban Ecology Center and the Alliance Française de Milwaukee, with support from the Federation of Alliances Françaises.
 In a special performance for the Milwaukee French Immersion School, Brice Kapel led students on a journey to Coloricocola. The interactive story-telling concert began as a one-man show and quickly developed into the most fantastically cast musical as audience members joined in the songs, motions and fun. The music of Coloricocola has been described as the music of
Africa, the music of the French-speaking world, and even as the music of children. In truth, it is so filled with joy and adventure that it can only be the music of us all. Please consider making a donation to the Alliance to allow us to share diverse and entertaining French immersion experiences with Milwaukee's children during the 2008-2009 school year.

As an Alliance Française de Milwaukee member or student, you have the opportunity to share a love of the French language, culture, art, and history as you join with other members of your community to see a French theater performance or film, listen to a renowned lecturer, enjoy regional French cuisine, and study those verbs!
Students are strongly encouraged to become members of the Alliance Française de Milwaukee, as it instills one with a sense of belonging, commitment, and pride. Learning a foreign language, as well as learning about those who speak it, are invaluable ways for us to gain interest in, respect for, and understanding of other world cultures.
