The Alliance Française de Milwaukee group spent 10 days in the regions of Languedoc and Provence located in s outhern France. These regions had so much to see and to do!
Stunning landscapes: turquoise waters, steep cliffs, lavender field. To beautiful architecture in cities like Montpellier,
Marseille, Constance et Remparts d’Aigue Morte (historical remparts and walls around Aigues-Morte), and the Pont du Gard (a ancient
roman aqueduct)!
We visited a bull ranch where French "cowboys" called guardians on white horses herd the region's wild black cattle. We explored the cities of Avignon, Marseille, Montpellier, and Aix-en-Provence. We toured destinations like Chateau la Coste (an organic winery and sculpture park), Saint Remy de Provence (a commune), and ate so much delicious food!
