MADISON FRENCH CAMP FOR YOUTH
2017 Summer French Camp for campers 4-12 years old
Madison’s French Camp for Youth was founded in 1999 by a native-born Frenchwoman. Designed for children ages 4-12, Madison’s French Camp for Youth teaches French through various themes from the Francophone world. Based on interactive stories, French Camp uses songs, crafts, games, snack time, and role play to develop interest, instill confidence, and provide opportunities for campers of any language level. No previous background in French is required.
Bon Appétit! June 19-23
Miam! Miam! That’s how you say “YUM” in French. And that’s exactly what your camper will be saying this week. We’ll be making, tasting, and talking about all the culinary goodies that come along with speaking French. We’ll use authentic French recipes for things like crepes, tartes, choux à la crème and will perhaps even seek out recipes for other favorites. The French House has a great history of French cuisine, and we think it’s never too early to develop a taste for one of France’s finest exports: its delicious food!
Les Petits Scientifiques! June 26-30
From Marie Curie to Louis Pasteur and beyond, join us in exploring the lives of famous scientists from France! We’ll look at their amazing discoveries as well as perform some hand-on “experiments” of our own. Through songs, crafts, games, and an interactive story, who knows? Maybe the next Nobel prize winner will get started here!
