The Alliance Francaise de Milwaukee is a 501(c)(3) organization. Any donations made to the organization are tax-deductible as allowed by law. A donation to the Alliance can be used several ways. First, toward the French language Center, community outreach programs and general operating support. Our French Language Center runs through a reduced tuition rate. These classes would not be able to run without your support. As part of our mission, we strive to provide French language programs in the community for children who would not otherwise have access to learning a foreign language. In 2009, we launched two groundbreaking community outreach programs in Milwaukee's urban core, partnering with the Malaika Early Learning Center and the Neighborhood House of Milwaukee. More support is needed to replicate this program in 2011. Second, the Alliance Francaise houses an endowment through the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. It is a true endowment in the sense that we cannot touch the principal, yet we will receive a steady flow of interest income. This is one way to secure the future of the Alliance.
