Stephanie Howe-Marechal
Bonjour. My name is Stephanie Howe-Marechal. I was a French major in college and studied in Paris during my Junior year in college. Once finished with my BA, I got married and moved to French Guyana and later Martinique where I spent 5 years. I have been teaching at the Alliance since 2003 and have had a very enjoyable teaching experience here.
Celiane Labouret
I was born, raised in Paris and studied French literature until I started my career as a French teacher. I have taught French over thirty years in many different places such as New-York at the French Lycée, Guadeloupe in a middle school or at French immersion Program at a Montessori School in Milwaukee. I seem to have finally settled at the Alliance Française: I enjoy thoroughly teaching all ages from and many subjects ranging from World News, French Literature, French songs and games to children_ however I am still not able to teach cooking.
Fanny Liard
Born in Switzerland in a French speaking family, I went to school first in German, then in French and graduated from the university of Lausanne. Teaching languages has always been my profession and my passion, both in Europe and in the United States. After teaching high-school and adults, I specialized in introducing French to young children. As a result, and after 8 years at the Alliance Française of Denver and 5 years at the Alliance of Milwaukee, I love to say that I speak French with people ages 1 through 80!
Dawn Mahuta
I am a kindergarten teacher at Milwaukee French Immersion School, where I have been teaching for the past 10 years. I began teaching courses through the Alliance in Spring of 2009. I have always had a fascination with the beauty of the French language. I studied French in high school and college and took courses through the Alliance Française prior to becoming a French Immersion teacher. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, Scrabble, science fiction, travel and SCUBA. I believe that the gift of a second language is priceless. I never thought I would be so lucky as to make teaching French my career.
Laurielle Reminga
Born in Milwaukee and taking French since I was six years old, I am finishing my degree in French at UW-Madison this December and hoping to continue teaching French. For the past four years, I have loved tutoring French one-on-one, but my first experiences with the Alliance this summer have shown me that I also really enjoy the group dynamics. Some of my constant interests include ballet, synchronized ice skating, track and field, and French music, but I love new challenges like sewing my own wedding dress!
