Born in Southern Ardèche, France to a French mother and a German father, Arnaud was raised in Burgundy before moving further north to Nancy, where he graduated with a degree in English Literature and the Teaching of French as a Foreign Language. After working for an independent record label, he spent a couple of years in England, working as a French Lecturer for Loughborough University, East Midlands. Then he decided to go south, for a change, and spent over 10 years in Mexico, working as a French Teacher and Language Center Coordinator at university level. Fond of discovering new cultures in general and new languages in particular, Arnaud finally managed to actually speak a couple of languages out of the dozen he studied at some point. When he’s not rummaging through second-hand book shops, he also enjoys traveling, French and Latin-American literature, international cinema and video games.

Erin studied French from 7th grade through college where she was fortunate to participate in the Vassar-Wesleyan Program in Paris. Living with a wonderful French family solidified her passion for French language and culture. Before returning to her hometown of Milwaukee, she lived in Poughkeepsie, Bordeaux, Boulder, New York City, and Pittsburgh, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing. With fond memories of her internship at l’Alliance Française in 2002, Erin is excited to once again be able to contribute to the inspiring organization. She also works for Milwaukee Ballet and writes for several publications.
